The last few weeks...

I am not doing well at keeping this updated daily but here goes whats been happening in the chapman casa these past few weeks.

Maquel went to a sleepover birthday party (and they were in the hot tub) and developed red spots on her chest, armpits and legs. 2 of Maquels best friends were also there and also developed these "red spots" One lady took her daughter into the doc and they told her it was some hottub virus, another lady was told flea bites and I was told muskum contagiouso. I thougt it was very interesting that we all got different diagnosis' from all different docs, makes you wonder how educated your doc really is. hmmm. Anyhow we learned that most all the girls that were at that party developed these spots, most of them are all in the same class at school, as well. Interesting!!! don't worry! Maquel has healed from these "red spots" and the same night at the party someone dunked Maquel into the hot tub and she chipped her two front teeth on the bench so took her into the dentist and she will have a filler that apparently because its right on the edge of her front teeth, will constantly fall off and she will just have to put it back on, no worries, just annoying. Then when she is older and her adult teeth have stopped growing they will have to crown them. Loads of fun! now on to some exciting news....

Yesterday Caleb was "fitted" for his prosthetic. They made a cast mold of his foot and leg and then they measured and measured some more. He was just ecstatic the whole time and into everything they were talking about. Caleb is content most the time but to see him so full of life was so wonderful. Next week caleb will get an x-ray to see if his leg is ready to bear weight and then in about 2 weeks we go back to othodics and he will get to wear his new leg and walk with partial weight and then he will go home with it and then complain for a few weeks and then take it back in and they will fine-tune it and polish it up and it will be ready to go. Caleb also has his one year oncology appt coming up so we were at the hospital getting many tests done. I am so sick of doctors appts and co-pays!

I have been getting back into running (I'm sure Jas is shocked). I ran 8 miles this morning and thanks to Maquel I didnt' have to go by myself. She rode her bike alongside me. After my run I went to the church and donated blood. So be a hero! Be a blood donor!
